Given this is a new restaurant, I thought I'd given it some time to shake off the startup before giving it a try. Being a Thursday night I thought I'd stand a better chance of getting in. For weeks locals have raved about it. Arrived at 5 o'clock and there was more than ample parking. Coming inside it's a warm but modest interior, nicely adorned with string lights, an open ceiling and a large bar within view. Three TV sets behind the bar but if you're anywhere other than the bar, the view will obstructed. I didn't come for TV, however, when football season settles in, it's going to be a problem. Young, busy staff. Nobody was standing around with their hands in their pockets so a great first impression. Prompt table-side service and we ordered the fried pickles for an app. Arrived reasonably quickly. You can tell they are fresh; quite briny. Not bad but nothing extraordinary. Following that, we received our side salads. Again, nothing to differentiate it from any other chopped lettuce salad. Slice of tomato, slice of cucumber with some finely shredded cheddar. For dinner, we ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and the Jumbo Shrimp Platter. In the positive column, serving sizes were very generous. Based on my experience, locals favor quantity over quality and that's what we found here. The chicken was served over white rice and a brown gravy. Pretty unconventional as you'd normally find this with a white or sawmill gravy with some mashed on the side. The shrimp serving size didn't disappoint, however, the breading didn't make the grade here or in the chicken as a simple dip into cocktail sauce or a cut of the knife and it was gone. Disappointing. I had the cole slaw as a side. It was average; a bit too much vinegar for my taste but you may find you like it. All in all, a "meh" experience. I'll go back to try to burgers but avoid the entrees. Service was prompt and friendly. A middle of the road experience and for $50, I think you can find better.
Gave it another shot on 6/6. This time, stuck with traditional bar fare. We ordered burgers, onion strings and fried green tomatoes. Again, anything that is battered doesn't hold up through the fry. While the fried green tomatoes were very good, you essentially end up with a steamed product. The burgers were solid, tasty and cooked to temperature. The fries were delicious. Seemed to have a double fry and absolutely nothing to complain about. The waitress was great, attentive, good personality and we didn't have to wait for anything. On top of her game in every respect. So, very good meal with great service. Avoid the breaded and fried and you have a great experience. -

Wow!!!!! Great place!!!! First, let me say my food was delish!!! Fried green tomatoes and dipping sauce was Great! But, my chicken fingers were homemade and some of the best I have every had. My husband had the Shepard pie. He really enjoyed it. Secondly, our service was outstanding. We will be back very soon..
Update......... we went back tonight and they had a crowd.... last time there was only like 4 tables if people. I guess that's the difference or a different cook... I don't know but ..... the food was horrible tonight. I brought my out of town company to dinner here... omg it was all so greasy and salty that none of us ate our food. The grease takes like it's been sitting for a while too.... we will not be back....!!!!!!!! -

Been awaiting to visit 31 Kitchen but waited for some of the new to wear off before venturing out. First venture was a wash out, a Thursday night and No parking, had Thai.
Tonight (Wednesday) arrived 5:00ish and was able to park. What we noticed upon entering is that they have more tables and wait staff than parking places.
From previous reviews we noticed some changes, plates for appetizers, food came out faster and wait staff while standing with hands in pockets socializing tended their tables with efficiency.
Ok the food, Fried Mushrooms, lightly battered & seasoned good by them selves and kicked up with the ranch sauce, thanks Chad. Kamp Carbonara Pasta, well balanced, light and tasty. House salad kind of wimpy, substitute a side. Jerk Chicken Pasta, seasoning on chicken and sauce came together for a happy mouthful.
Proportions were large, we could have and will in the future split an entree. Did I mention the fried okra? Like the mushrooms done right.
This place should continue to improve they are taking their time to work out the details. Hope to see you there. -

Revisited tonight and food was great!! Staff and management very present and eager to make your food exceptional. Fried mushrooms were great, as was the Friday night fish special, chicken fried chicken, ribeye steak, and desserts you must try the chocolate chip cookie sandwich and brownie sundae. Still lots to try like wing nights and lots of menu options!! Come try out our new local owned restaurant and EAT LOCAL!!
Still newly opened so busy and few mishaps I'm sure but as we all know as foodies if they don't know it's wrong they can't fix it. They are willing to listen and want to make you happy. So come on let's eat!! -

Went for our 6 th time since opening we have tried to eat something different on the menu each time we come here tonight we were not disappointed... Wife had the Beef Tips and Rice basically Steak cut into bite size pieces (wife doesn't like peppers and onions so she left them off)....
I had the Deconstruction Shepherds Pie and it's the best tasting Shepherds Pie I eaten... and I had the sweet potato fries which are out of this world delicious....
